July 22, 2020 ---- The Indian Government notified regulations
for tyres, safety glass under central motor vehicles rules (CMVR). The Road
Transport & Highways Ministry has made amendments to CMVR. According to new
regulations, safety glazing standards have been prescribed as an option to
safety glass. The visual transmission of light for the rear and front windows
is 70%; for side windows, it is 50% and shall be the same for the safety glass
on the glass with safety glazing.
